Covid-19 In-Person Zendo Guidelines
The Boulder Zen Center is closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Regarding vaccinations and masking, we are following the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) guidance to ensure the safety of our residents and participants.
To determine the Covid-19 community level and the appropriate local response, CDC looks at the combination of three metrics: (1) new Covid-19 admissions per 100,000 population in the past 7 days, (2) the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by Covid-19 patients, and (3) total new Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days.
At this moment, Boulder County is at the green level, which states that people may choose to mask at any time. Therefore, from now on, as long as the community level doesn’t increase, we leave the decision whether to mask to each person’s discretion.
We strongly encourage vaccination but do not require it at this time for daily Zendo use. But if you are not vaccinated, we kindly ask you to wear a mask when coming to the Zendo.
People with possible exposure to someone with Covid-19 should wear a mask. If you have any symptoms, please stay at home and participate in the Zendo via Zoom until your symptoms clear and your rapid test is negative.
We’ll be checking the exposure level daily and if the situation changes, we’ll notify you immediately.
